HOW TO IDENTIFY IT?
Según el Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) de Estados Unidos, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) “are a developmental disability that causes social, communication, and behavioral challenges, which can last throughout life.”
ASD is 4.5 times more common in boys than in girls, although it occurs universally across all racial groups.
People with ASD do not have physical traits that characterize them and generally exhibit the following common characteristics:
• Digestive problems and food allergies
• Respiratory difficulties and environmental allergies
• Recurrent infections that require the use of antibiotics
• They do not make eye contact
• They do not follow simple instructions
• They reject physical contact
• They do not point to objects to show interest
• They have difficulty relating to others or show no interest in them
• They seem not to listen when spoken to, but are bothered by other sounds.
• They have difficulty expressing their needs.
• They do not engage in pretend play.
• They engage in repetitive behaviors.
• They have difficulty adapting to changes in routine.
• They are very sensitive to smells, textures, tastes, and tactile sensations.
• When the condition presents itself, they lose the skills they had previously acquired.

What can be the problems in an autistic child?
